Rivalry builds as Landmark gears up for the RSABI Great Glen Challenge

Training is hotting up for five Landmark team members as they prepare to take on the Great Glen Challenge – a multi-discipline event that takes place in the beautiful Scottish Highlands on Friday 30th August 2019.

The event is organised by the Royal Scottish Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RSABI) and has raised £300,000 since 2012. Funds raised are used to help those involved in Scottish agriculture in times of need whether that be during or after their farming careers.

The team lynchpin is George Paterson of Scottish software provider FarmData (a division of Landmark Systems). Allistair Gray will cycle 46km, Kate Adams will walk 18km, Annabel James will run 17km and John Macrae will kayak 6km. To find out more about our individual team members, click here.

The team has a fundraising target of £2,000. In 2018, Landmark helped Annabel to raise £5,300 for the English equivalent of the RSABI when she ran the London Marathon so they are hoping for a repeat of this success!

Landmark is also enjoying some lighthearted rivalry with the Scottish Land & Estates team. Emma Steel, captain for Team Strong, Loud & Energetic says, “We’re really looking forward to taking on the RSABI Great Glen Challenge and of course going head to head with the fantastic Landmark Systems team – as the event creeps closer our competitive sides are certainly coming out!

But most importantly we are delighted to be able to support RSABI who provide vital emotional, practical and financial support to many across the agricultural sector. All donations, no matter how big or small, are very much appreciated.”
